Delonix regia is endemic to Madagascar and is also known called as 'Royal Poinciana' and Gulmohar locally.

3. Peltophorum pterocarpum:

It is commonly known as copper pod tree or yellow poinciana. Locally it is known as sonmohar flower due to its vibrant yellow colour.

4. Sterculia colorata:

Sterculia colorata is locally known as Kaushi. The fibres of the tree are used in weaving cloths and ornaments by tribal people.

5. Lagerstroemia speciosa: 

It is commonly called giant crepe-myrtle, pride of India in English while locally called taman or tamhan.

6. Kaempferia rotunda:

Kaempferia rotunda is commonly called peacock ginger and locally as bhui chamfo and bhui champa.

7. Ochna obtusata: 

It is a woody shrub or a small tree locally called as suvarn champa or kanak champa. It is commonly found growing in Goa's forests.

Acanthus ilicifolius, also known holly-leaved acanthus, is a species of shrubs or herb growing in Goa's mangrove forests and used for treating asthma.
