LOCAL FLAVOURS

The refreshing juice of Goa's cherished cashew apple, known locally as neero, is made from its juicy flesh and is a favourite summer drink among Goans.

JUICY STORIES

This refreshing summer drink is the last juice extracted from the cashew, following the earlier extractions used to produce the famous Goan alcoholic drinks, feni and urrak.

COOL IT

Neero is best served chilled for a cool and refreshing experience.

CHEERS

Although the cashew fruit undergoes an initial extraction to produce alcohol, neero itself contains no alcoholic content and is a refreshing drink.

SHELF LIFE

Neero is highly perishable and starts fermenting if not kept refrigerated. Even when stored in the fridge, it has a short shelf life of just one to two days.
