EXPLOSION OF ART

Yet again, Goa brings to you the Serendipity Arts Festival, a festival that brings artists from diverse walks of life together to display their artworks.

STORIES OF GOA

The festival showcases an intersection between varied cultures and distinct art forms. An installation that narrates stories of Goa can be found at the Art Park in Panjim.

AN ARCHIVAL JOURNEY

The art exhibit titled "Goa Familia: Archive of Potential (Goan) Futures", inspired by Jacques Derrida's Archive Fever, takes you on a journey through frames, emphasising archival practices in Goa.

BEYOND PRESERVATION

A key motive of the installation is to navigate the evolving role of archives beyond mere preservation and present them as living entities capable of shaping potential futures.

TRADITIONAL GOA

This slide of photographs presents an array of traditional occupations of Goa, including brass bands, weavers, farmers and more, preserved by Goans across the State.

GOA SEGMENTS

The installation focuses on various aspects of Goa, including sacred traditions, geography and architectural elements through collections titled Brides of Goa, X'Mas Vindaloo, Resonant Silhouettes: Goa's Living Tapestry, Tankis of Aldona, Sacred Geography of Goa, etc.

POTENTIAL FUTURES

If you wish to interact with archives of Goa and learn about the State via photographs, head to SAF 2024. The installation will be open to spectators till the end of the festival, December 22, 2024.
