An exhibition entitled 'Agapito de Miranda, a Neglected Devotee of Goan Music' is currently being held at Fundação Orient, Fontainhas, Panjim.
The exhibition focuses on Agapito de Miranda, a researcher, musician and composer from Goa.
Agapitos's private collection of manuscripts and songbooks, most of which are connected with the Goan Catholic community, are on display at the exhibition.
Musical instruments, such as his violin, can also be seen at the exhibition.
Original manuscripts from Agapito's life are part of the collection.
The event has been organised by Fundacao Oriente along with the University of Aveiro, Portugal.
The exhibition is supported by the Institute of Ethnomusicology – Research Center of Music & Dance.
The public can check out the displays from Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm.
The exhibition ends on February 10, 2023.
