Regional airline, FLY91, gets off to a flying start in Goa

FLY91, India's newest scheduled commuter airline, today flagged off its operations with a special flight between Goa and Agatti (in the Lakshadweep islands).

FIRST DAY, FIRST SHOW

The airline's commercial operations will begin on March 18 with its first commercial flight scheduled to take off from Goa's Manohar International Airport, Mopa, to Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru.

VIRTUALLY SPEAKING

To mark the event, the Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya Scindia, virtually flagged off a symbolic flight from Goa's Manohar International Airport (MIA).

VIP GUESTS

Goa Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, lit the ceremonial lamp ahead of the inaugural flight of FLY91. Union Minister of State for Tourism, Shripad Naik; and Goa’s Tourism Minister, Rohan Khaunte, were also present on the occasion.

READY TO FLY

Goa Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, flagged off the inaugural flight of FLY91 from Goa to Lakshadweep.

TAKE FLIGHT

FLY91 received its Air Operator Permit (AOP) from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), on March 6, 2024.

FROM DXB TO GOX

FLY91 received its first ATR 72-600, one of the two aircraft leased from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise last month. The regional airline's fleet will be based out of the Manohar International Airport, Mopa.
