Sample the ‘Echoes’ of the recipients of the Goa Open Arts Catalyst Grant

A group exhibition of installations and paintings from the third edition of the Goa Open Arts Catalyst Grant, titled ‘Echoes’, is being held at the Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts, Panjim.

Art historian, author and lecturer, Manashri Pai Dukle's work is on exhibit at the show.

‘You are my Mirror, I am your Reflection’ by Manashri Pai Dukle echoes the bond shared between the artist and her mother.

Purvai Aranya is a graphic artist and writer.

Aranya's 'Waterlog' is a half-completed graphic novel centered around narratives of trauma and coming to terms with the untimely death of a grandparent.

Pratik Naik, articulates a complex assembly in digital readers, animation and mixed-media.

'A Quandary Situation', by Pratik Naik, is a transportative installation and reflects upon the essence of society and its constraints.

Subhash Sajja is a new media composer and modular synth musician. 'The Oscillation Orchestra' creates music collaboratively generated/manipulated by the computer that can also be gesturally controlled by the listener.

Venkatesh Pai, driven by philosophical problems, lends an air of humour to the exhibition, and amalgamates a series of drawings, paintings, soft sculptures, video and other worldly cacophony in his landscapes.
