Amilcar, who was born in Goa, decided to move to Brussels, Belgium, in 1975 when he was 27 years old in order to pursue better prospects in life.

The artist has always been fascinated by the sea and its mysteries since he was very young, and the paintings are the products of his imagination and the desire to connect with the natural world.
