Discovering beauty in everyday things is the essence of art. The Goa College of Art is currently organising its yearly art showcase in Altinho, Panjim. The exhibition will continue until March 28, 2024.

TWO CATEGORIES

The exhibition of artworks has been categorised into two sections: Painting and Applied Art. A variety of materials, such as oil, soft pastels, and charcoal, have been used in creating the artworks and designs.

COLOURED WONDERS

The Painting category showcases exquisite hand-drawn landscapes, perspectives and printmaking.

EVERYDAY ART

And the students, specialising in Applied Art showcased their expertise by creatively experimenting with words and colour palettes.

BACK IN THE DAY

The Goa College of Art was known for its event, Kala Utsav, which also included this annual display of students' artworks.

FACE IN FOCUS

The exhibition also features works of art students in their third and fourth years, with a focus on Portraiture, their chosen area of expertise.

A TOUCH OF TRADITION

One will not be able to ignore the students' Kaavi artworks, which were created under the guidance of renowned Goan artist, Sagar Naik Mule.
