Early in the morning, the puja is performed and the sacred thread is blessed.
A loop is made of the sacred thread and is tied around pets and other animals in the house.
People also tie the sacred thread to trees, books, utensils, etc.
You will also find people tying the sacred thread to bikes and other important gadgets and items in the house.
