FESTIVE OCCASION

On September 8, 2023, the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (mother of Jesus Christ) was celebrated in churches across Goa.

NAVELIM CELEBRATES

The feast was also celebrated at Our Lady of Rosary Church, Navelim, and the festivities began with the recitation of the rosary at 4.30 pm.

SAYING IT WITH FLOWERS

Following the rosary, parishioners formed a queue, led by children, and offered flowers to Our Lady. This is an annual tradition and is practiced across Goa on the feast day.

FEAST MASS

All kinds of pretty flowers were offered by devotees. Later, the festive mass was held and was attended by a large numbers of parishioners.

TIME TO CELEBRATE

After the mass, a small cultural programme was held at the Rosary Parish Hall, which was packed to capacity.

MOTHERS' DAY

During the programme, one of the highlights was the celebration of Mothers' Day, which was done by cutting a colourful cake, placed on a beautifully draped table.

SWEET SOMETHINGS

What's a celebration without music and dancing? There were several lovely performances by the children of the locality. And, in addition to that, sweets were also distributed.
