Like it or not, selfies are an undeniable reality of our life. And with this, photograph enhancing apps have become a necessity. Snapchat, YouCam, CandyCam, Retrica, MakeupPlus, Hair Colour Changer and other such apps are used to capture as well as enhance selfies. Using these apps, people edit their pictures — lightening their complexion, smoothening their skin, omitting marks and so on — and make themselves look as flawless as possible.

INCREASING DEMAND
The beauty apps have emerged as the new rising apps after WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter etc. They have become some of the most downloaded applications in the world.  After observing Appstore and PlayStore, a research reports that this increase has been 200 per cent lately and is likely to go higher.

The constant urge to look better than your friends, a sense of competition and low self-esteem, have resulted in making these apps more popular among the teenagers. This high demand has urged the app developers to think of ways to make the make-up effects easily accessible on their phones.
