Hosta Premium Boutique in Sangolda is not your run-of-the-mill fashion destination. Sure, its catchy name and eye-catching signage might grab your attention, but it's the boutique’s distinct way of catering to customers that makes it a must-visit.
Started in April 2024 by Dashmita Rane, this boutique isn’t just about finding casual wear for men and women—it’s an experience that blends passion, creativity and personalisation. Hence, Hosta should be on your radar.
A DREAM COME TRUE
When we spoke to Dashmita, we learnt that the boutique was a dream she nurtured for years. Coming from a family surrounded by fabrics and textiles, she was naturally drawn to the world of clothing.
“I always knew that I wasn’t meant for a regular 9 to 5 job,” she said. Her drive to create a space where people could find unique clothing led to the birth of Hosta. “Hosta is not just my passion project; it’s the soul of my lifelong journey in fashion,” she added.
COLOURFUL AND INVITING
What really sets Hosta apart is the warm ambience within the boutique. Dashmita has designed a very welcoming space with a beautiful colour palette of blue, gold and white.
The interiors reflect the vibrancy of the clothes displayed, which are made from high-quality cotton and linen, woven into unique and intricate designs. And the best part?
THE STORY BEHIND ‘HOSTA’
Curious about the boutique’s name? Dashmita explains, “After a lot of research, I stumbled upon Hosta, which is a flower. I felt it perfectly captured the essence of my boutique—just like a blooming flower, it’s unique in its own way.” Indeed, it’s a fitting name for a boutique that grows with its customers and their tastes.

CUSTOM DESIGN JUST FOR YOU
Here’s where Hosta truly shines—customization. Dashmita understands that everyone has their own taste, which is why she offers more than just readymade items.
“Apart from the clothes on the racks, I also sell fabric from which you can either design your own piece or I can help you come up with something,” she explained.
You can even bring in your fabric, and Dashmita will craft a one-of-a-kind outfit for you. But wait, there’s more. She also upcycles old sarees into trendy new pieces, giving them a second life.
SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
Hosta isn’t just for women—it caters to everyone. The boutique offers stylish options for men and children too. The children’s clothing, however, is custom-designed.
And the best part? The prices are super affordable. For example, tops start at Rs 700, while dresses begin at Rs 1,200. “I make sure the items are not only affordable but also durable. I’ve got plenty of repeat customers,” says Dashmita proudly.
WHY SANGOLDA
Though Dashmita hails from Mapusa, she chose Sangolda for her boutique. “Sangolda has a diverse crowd, which was perfect for starting my boutique,” she shared.
She loves the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life and learn about their individual styles. For her, a physical store is far better than running an online business. “I feel that having a real store allows me to connect with people and truly understand what they like,” she said.
MATERIALS FROM ACROSS INDIA
When it comes to sourcing materials, Dashmita ensures variety by procuring fabrics from all over India. She’s also open to clients bringing in their own fabric for a custom creation.
And for those looking for accessories to complete their look, Hosta offers a delightful selection of jewellery and handbags. Accessories start at just Rs 150, with non-tarnish chains and mobile purses to choose from.
So, whether you’re looking to upcycle an old saree or need something chic for a casual outing, Hosta is the place to go. Dashmita is always on hand to assist you, and you might even get a few styling suggestions while you’re scouting for your perfect-fit.
