Timings of novenas & feast masses of St Joseph Vaz, Sancoale

The novena and feast day masses of St Joseph Vaz, Patron of the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman, will be celebrated at the usual site of the old Church of Our Lady of Health, Rua Escravo de Maria, Sancoale, from January 7 to 16, this year.

This year’s themes for the novena and feast have been inspired by the ongoing Synodal priorities and the theme of the current Pastoral Year and Pastoral Letter, “Follow me...” (Mk. 1:17).

“Let us truly follow Jesus after the example of St Joseph Vaz” (“Bhagevont Juze Vazachi dekh gheun Jezucho niz pattlav korum-ia”).

NOVENA DAYS (Jan 7, 2023 – Jan 15, 2023)

• Morning: 6 am, 7.30 am, 9.15 am (Romaria)

• Evening: 4 pm (Romaria), 6 pm (English)

Sundays (Jan 8, 2023 & Jan 15, 2023)

• Morning: 5 am, 6.15 am, 7.15, 9.15 am

• Evening: 4 pm (Romaria), 6 pm (English)

MASSES IN OTHER LANGUAGES

• Sunday, January 8: Malayalam (10.45 am), Tamil (12 noon)

• Sunday, January 15: Hindi (10.45 am)

FEAST DAY: January 16, 2023

• Morning: 5 am, 6.15 am, 7.30 am, 8.45 am

• High Mass: 10 am

• Afternoon: 12 noon pm (Oratory)

• Evening: 4 pm, 5.30 pm (English)

•  The Sanctuary of St Joseph Vaz, Sancoale, will be open for veneration on all the above days from 7.30 am – 1 pm and 3 pm – 7 pm.
