There will be a talk on the subject, ‘Monsoon magic: Did the rains make Goan History,’ by PhD candidate from Georgetown University, USA, Dale Luis Menezes, on September 24, 2022.

The monsoon encapsulates human life, regulating sowing, harvesting and festivities. For centuries, Goa’s history and culture has been connected with it. This talk will focus on the monsoon season in Goan history, and will discuss whether it is worthwhile to invest time and energy to track the monsoon in Goa’s past.
