Witness a partial solar eclipse @ Goa Science Centre, Miramar

Sky gazers are in for a treat as there will be a partial solar eclipse on October 25, 2022, the day after Diwali, and people in Goa can catch a glimpse of a dark moon eclipsing approx quarter of the sun. This is the second partial solar eclipse of 2022, and it will be visible only in certain parts of Europe, west Asia and northeast Africa

Fortunately, Goa will also witness this partial eclipse, which will be visible from 5 pm till sunset.

On the occasion, the Goa Science Centre & Planetarium, Miramar, is organising a special observation programme, during which the eclipse can be observed via projection method using special telescopes, special goggles and simulated software. Special solar goggles for use by the general public will also be available at the science centre.

Note: The programme is subject to weather conditions.
