Deputy CM Babu Kavlekar conducts poll campaign in Fatorpa

With only 13 days are remaining for the Goa Legislative Assembly election, Deputy Chief Minister Babu Kavalekar conducts a door-to-door campaign at Fatorpa on Tuesday.

Kavlekar is contesting from Quepem constituency on a BJP ticket in this upcoming Assembly elections.

Speaking to media persons, Kavlekar said, "This is my sixth election in this Fatorpa area. Every time Fatorpa village has given me good support".

He also sought blessing at Shri Shantadurga Kunkallikarin temple, Shri Shantadurga fatarpekarin Temple before staring his campaign.

Babu kavlekar at door-to-door campaign in Quepem

The saffron party gave a ticket to Goa’s deputy chief minister Chandrakant Babu Kavlekar, it denied a ticket to his wife Savitri who was claiming a BJP ticket to contest from the Sanguem constituency.

She later announced her resignation from the party and will will contest as an independent from Sanguem.

Babu Kavalekar was accompanied by Panch Sheetal Naik, Medini Naik, Quepem BJP Youth president Viraj Desai, former Panch Khushali Desai and Avinash Fatarpekar, Sunil Fatarpekar, Salil Fatarpekar, Mandal president Sanjay Velip, Surendra Naik and Surendra Kamat and others were present there.

The election for the 40 seats will take place on February 14, and the ballots will be counted on March 10.
