Post Lobo's entry into Congress, Calangute Congress Block Committee members joins TMC

Calangute Congress Block Committee members, who resigned en masseon Thursday from the Congress after party inducted former minister Michael Lobo, joined joined Trinamool Congress (TMC) in the presence of Lok Sabha MP and TMC Goa in charge Mahua Moitra, TMC leader Churchill Alemao and Kiran Kandolkar on Friday.

The committee members along with hundreds of supporters joined TMC at Calangute.

Addressing the media, Mahua Moitra said, "The Trinamool Congress is working in the state with the sole view of defeating the BJP and overthrowing it".

Former MLA Agnelo Fernandes said, "We did not want to be tied to Michael Lobo under any circumstances, so we decided to join TMC in the end and if the TMC tries to form a coalition with the Congress, we have a choice".

He further said that the Trinamool Congress party will work in the future to give a new direction and shape to Calangute, which has become the center of immoral business due to former minister Michael Lobo.
