Shiroda MLA Subhash Shirodkar on Saturday, December 18, said that Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal should stop misleading the minds of the Goans.
He asserted that BJP Government has done a lot in the field of education because of the great contributions done by the late CM Manohar Parrikar that has made Goa is second in the field of education in India after Kerala.
He also said that the BJP government has been spending Rs 350 to Rs 400 crore a year on education.
“Three or Five-star schools have been opened up in Delhi, but at the same time, there are a dropout of about 20 per cent and about 15-20 per cent of students who have not even climbed the school steps. The environmental pollution in Delhi has bothered all the citizens and so the financial loss is getting worse. why is Kejriwal hiding this fact,” Shirodkar said.
"The “My Child, My Dream ” concept is launched by the government, wherein the teacher guiding the students, matters the most other than studies which also include contacting the students concerned family and understanding their family difficulties," Shirodkar said.
Shirodkar also said that the Goa government has facilities every 3 km, 5 km and higher secondary every 10km and has excellent educational facilities as around 15,000 men and women from Goa work in well known reputed companies in Europe, USA and Gulf.
"The government has launched a health card scheme for children up to six years of age, according to which the government is also paying attention to their diet," the senior BJP leader said.
"The implementation for the new national education policy will start from next year and the government is committed to reviving this policy," Shirodkar said.
Speaking about the Goa Forward and Congress pre-poll alliance, Shirodkar said that it will not affect any BJP candidate in any constituency in Goa.
