GSWA extends the last date for entries of various competitions till February 29

PANAJI: The Goa State Wetland Authority (GSWA), Saligao had announced various competitions on the occasion of World Wetland Day. The last date for submission of entries for competitions viz essay writing, poster making, and photography competition is extended till February 29. Poster making competition for differently-abled individuals is organized on the theme - 'Wetland and Biodiversity'. The Poster should be hand-drawn on A1 size paper with 300 GSM thicknesses. The participant can use any coloring material except sketch pens.

Posters can be hand-delivered on all working days or sent by post to Goa State Wetland Authority's office, the office of Goa State Biodiversity Board (GSBB), opposite Saligao Seminary, Bardez-403511. The poster must include the participant's name, age, address and contact details behind it.

For photography competition on the theme Wetland and Biodiversity, the photograph should be clicked between January 1, 2019, to February 29, 2020, in the State of Goa only. A high-resolution photograph should be submitted without any watermark. Only one entry per person is allowed. Soft copy of the photograph can be emailed to goawetland@gmail.com with brief information about the participant, contact details, date and time of photograph clicked. The photograph should be original if found plagiarised, it will be disqualified.

GSWA reserves the right to retain all the poster and photograph entries and the same may be used in the future with due credit to the artist/photographer. The GSWA is also looking forward to success stories of conservation and management of wetlands by local bodies. Success stories can be sent to GSWA's office along, with photo evidence and testimonials.
