Goa’s Archbishop Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao's New Year Message:

“I am pleased to convey to everyone my warm greetings and best wishes as we usher into the New Year of 2023, which comes to us as a precious gift from God. Newness comes not with the destruction of the present, but by its transformation.

“Let us work for a new beginning that honours our heritage and our present achievements and builds on them by preserving the good that already exists, that is, our land – the natural beauty, our unique Goan culture, our communal harmony and our values, which urge us to be more sensitive towards the voices and needs of the common people.
