MARGAO: South Goa Police officials conducted a COVID-19 safety awareness programme at Swapnanagari Co-operative Housing Society, Fatorda. Superintendent of Police, South, Arvind K Gawas alongwith his team of DySP Sammy Tavares, Margao DySP Serafin Dias, Fatorda PI Kapil Naik and other senior officials and constabulary were part of the hour-long programme. A talk by DySP Serafin Dias on safeguarding oneself, family and neighbourhood from the coronavirus along with melodious singing were presented by DySP Sammy Tavares and PI Sherif Jacques, PSI Diego Gracias of Vasco PS, Lady PSI Sapana Gawas of Colva PS and lady constable Bhakti Devidas. The residents and children of the society presented SP South, Arvind Gawas with bouquet of flowers and a card made by the children in appreciation for their tireless efforts to promote awareness among people. The programme received an overwhelming response from the residents of the society. Margao ward 2 councillor Lyndon Pereira was also present for the programme. Beat constable Cyril D'Costa co-ordinated with the society and Atish Loliencar of Swapnanagari CHS proposed a vote of thanks.
