House gutted in fire in Bicholim, no casualties reported

Police and fire tenders reached the spot and put out the fire with the assistance of local residents.

A house was gutted in fire in Chimulwada-Mayem, Bicholim. However, no loss of life was reported.

The incident took place around 8.30 pm on Sunday.

Police and fire tenders reached the spot and put out the fire with the assistance of local residents.

The house belonged to former MLA Naresh Sawal;s driver, Ulhas Redkar. The cause of fire and loss incurred are being ascertained, However, Redkar said he has surrfered a loss of Rs 5 lakh. The fire consumed household furniture, electronics and other items.
