Two youths injured in two-wheeler accident in Bicholim

Two youths were injured in a two-wheeler accident at Sarvan-Bicholim on Wednesday, November 24. The accident took place on the main road leading to Sarvan village at 5.30 PM in the evening.

According to the police, the two-wheeler turned his bike backward without anticipating the coming rapid speed two-wheeler. Both fell with their bikes on the road causing severe injuries.

The victims were taken to the nearby hospital by locals immediately.

The number of accidents on the roads of Goa has increased 17% over the same time last year. Accidents in Goa has become a common scene in the streets of Goa. Accidents resulting in fatalities or injuries are reported every other day.

In the year 2020,1522 accidents and138 fatal accidents were reported in the Goa.

This year the state has recorded more than 1,900 accidents cases till September and the number is continually growing.
