Drug peddler held, 1.226 kg of weed seized in Cavelossim

Police have stepped up the vigil on suspected drug peddlers in view of the New Year celebrations.

Colva Police arrested a drug peddler and seized 1.226 kg of weed at Cavelossim on Thursday, December 23.

Police said acting on credible information, they conducted a raid and arrested the accused and seized the drugs worth over Rs 80,000.

The police apprehended Mahesh Dudve of Madhya Pradesh at Cavelossim and recovered weed from him.

Police have stepped up the vigil on suspected drug peddlers in view of the New Year celebrations.

Last week, Colva police nabbed a youth who was peddling ganja at Zalor beach. Police seized 1.9 kg of ganja from him worth Rs 1.32 lakhs.
