BJP President J P Nadda announced the 80-member National Executive of the party on Thursday. Union Minister of State for Tourism Shripad Naik from Goa has been retained in the committee.

The national executive also has 50 special invitees and 179 permanent invitees (ex-officio) which include CMs deputy CMs, former CMs and former deputy CMs, party national officer bearers, state presidents, in-charges of state and various morchas.

While Health Minister Vishwajit Rane and Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho will attend the panel meetings as special invitees, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and former Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar have been appointed as ex officio.

The newly constituted national executive will have names including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, L.K. Advani, M.M. Joshi, both former party chiefs, Union ministers, Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari and Piyush Goyal.

Among the new inclusions are Union ministers S. Jaishankar, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Hardeep Puri, Smriti Irani, Bhupender Yadav, Meenakshi Lekhi and Anurag Thakur

Some of the high profile names that have been dropped include Swamy, Maneka Gandhi, Varun Gandhi, Vinay Katiyar, C.P. Thakur, Siddharth Nath Singh, MJ Akbar and Birender Singh
