With an evocative script, a visionary director and a seasoned cast, A Place with the Pigs promises to be a powerful theatrical experience.

The story of the play – A Place with the Pigs – focuses on the world of Pavel Ivanovitch, a Russian soldier who after the World War II, decided to move into a pigsty over the anticipated punishment for abandonment.

The narrative is inspired by a true story of exile and desperation and the multi-faceted film and theatre artiste, Dnyanesh Moghe brings out the best through his play.

Pavel in his mid-thirties, is haunted with guilt over his past actions during the war and is struggling between his personal redemption and societal judgment about his act.

For years, the damp, claustrophobic pigsty becomes his entire universe, a smelly, dirty prison he built out of fear, shame and self-punishment. The cast comprises talented and versatile actors – Deepalaxmi Moghe and Daegal Godinho.
