A 2-day Purumentachem Fest, curated by Goencho Festakar, Marius Fernandes, will be held at Caculo Mall, St Inez, Panjim, on May 28 and May 29. Organic spices, salt fish, pickles, vegetable seeds and other provisions required during the monsoons, will be on sale, and some stalls have been allotted to persons with disabilities to sell their products.
Workshops and cultural programmes have also been organised. Two para badminton players will be felicitated, while the president of the Goa Association for the Deaf, Prasad Joshi, will have a sign language session. Other events include a talk on the Thalassemia disability, an interaction with Goa State Disability Commissioner Guruprasad Pawaskar, and an interaction with the Goa Pink Police Team about the functioning of the Pink Police.
