Agricos Alumni Association, Goa, in collaboration with the Green Heritage Eco Club of SFX High School, is organising the ‘Best Honey Competition’ on August 26, 2023 in celebration of National Honey Bee Day at The Festival of Plants and Flowers, SFX High School, Siolim.
Entries are invited from students of Std V to Std XII from any school or HSS in Goa. Participants will have to bring locally-produced honey from any Goa-based bee-keepers.
Entries will be accepted between 8 am and 9 am on August 26, 2023.
The top three winners will be awarded the following:
First place: ₹ 1,000 + certificate
Second place: ₹ 700 + certificate
Third place: ₹ 500 + certificate
RULES OF THE COMPETITION
1. The competition is open to students of Std V to Std XII, studying in any school/higher secondary in Goa.
2. Each school/higher secondary can send a maximum of 2 entries.
4. Participants should bring a 100 ml glass jar, containing honey produced by a bee-keeper in Goa.
5. The quantity of honey should not exceed 50 g.
6. Entries of branded honey such as Dabur, Patanjali, Raika, Lee Bees, RasRaj, etc will not be accepted.
7. Each entry will be coded to avoid any bias during judging.
8. Entries will be judged based on colour, flavour, taste consistency and clarity.
9. Judges will be professionals from the field.
10. There are no entry fees, however, registration is compulsory.
