Make It Happen, an award-winning experiential travel company in Goa, is organising a special cultural experience — Marcel Mystique: Ganesh Festive Trail. This unique event will take place on the 5th day of Ganesh Chaturthi, September 11, 2024, offering guests an immersive experience of Goa’s rich traditions and the vibrant celebrations surrounding Lord Ganesha.
Marcel Mystique: Ganesh Festive Trail offers an engaging 3-hour journey through Marcel, a town known for its deeply-rooted Hindu culture and striking temples.
This experience will begin at 11.30 am at the Devaki Krishna Temple, where guests will meet a knowledgeable storyteller from Make It Happen, who will guide them through the region’s rich history, traditions, and spiritual significance.
The trail starts with a detailed introduction to the Devaki Krishna Temple, offering insights into the deity’s lore and the temple’s importance in local culture.
From here, guests will proceed to the Maha Ganpati Temple, where they will dive deep into the history and cultural significance of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival, learning about the local customs and celebrations associated with this auspicious festival.
Following the temple visits, participants will enjoy a specially curated, traditional vegetarian lunch, prepared by a women’s welfare group. This culinary experience highlights the flavours of Goan vegetarian cuisine, offering an authentic taste.
After lunch, the group will get a hands-on opportunity to engage in a Ganesh idol-making workshop, where they can help craft an eco-friendly Ganesh idol, under the guidance of skilled local artisans. This workshop will help guests connect to an age-old craft.
