Camões-CLP, Panjim, is organising the screening of the Portuguese movie, O Princípio da Incerteza (The Uncertainty Principle) (2002), at the Camões premises on February 17, 2023. The movie is based on the novel, Jóia de Família, by Agustina Bessa-Luís, and will have English subtitles.
O Princípio da Incerteza has been directed by Manoel de Oliveira, and stars Diogo Dória, Isabel Ruth, Ivo Canelas, José Manuel Mendes, Leonor Baldaque, Leonor Silveira, Luís Miguel Cintra and Ricardo Trêpa.
Agustina Bessa-Luís, a Portuguese novelist, was the director of the Portugal-based daily, O Primeiro de Janeiro, from 1986 to 1987; and director of the D. Maria II National Theatre, Lisbon, from 1990 to 1993.
