CM meet Gadkari Sitharaman in Delhi

PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday met Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Nirmala Sitharaman at New Delhi and discussed various issues pertaining to Goa.
The Chief Minister first met Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman ahead of the Union budget.
"Met Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs Smt @nsitharaman ji in New Delhi today. Discussed various issues pertaining to the state of Goa," Sawant tweeted.
Sitharaman will present the Union Budget on February 1, 2020, while, Sawant will also present the State budget during the brief session of Goa assembly starting from February 3.
Later, the Chief Minister met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari.
During th meeting, the Chief Minister discussed the construction of the greenfield airport at Mopa and also discussed the ongoing national highway works in the State. Sawant urged Gadkari to take measures to complete the Varnapuri-MPT highway.
After the meeting, Sawant tweeted, "had a productive meeting with Minister of Road, Transport and Highways Shri @Nitin_gadkari ji during my visit to New Delhi. Connecting Mopa airport with NH along with speedy completion of Varnapuri-MPT NH as well as other NH projects in the State was discussed at length."
