BSNL has announced that the company has successfully crossed the mark of 25,000 Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) customers in Goa.  BSNL Goa has consistently invested in expanding its FTTH network infrastructure to meet the increasing demand for high-speed internet services.

BSNL attributes the company's relentless pursuit of technological excellence, coupled with a customer-centric approach to this remarkable milestone.

Expressing his delight, Principal General Manager Telecom Goa, S K Choudhari said, "We are delighted to celebrate the achievement of 25,000 FTTH customers. This milestone is a testament to our unwavering commitment to delivering top-notch broadband services to households across Goa. Our focus on cutting-edge technology, robust infrastructure, and customer satisfaction has positioned us as a trusted partner for high-speed internet connectivity."

In a special drive, copper connections are being converted to fiber for all individual customers and enterprise business customers without any change in their landline indicator and without any additional cost. Tariffs for FTTH are designed to suit the needs of all citizens, with free-to-air TV channels and OTT apps being provided with FTTH for selected plans.

BSNL is also appointing last-mile partners, known as Telecom Infrastructure Providers (TIP), to offer FTTH services on a commission basis. Currently, graduate ITI holders, startups, builders, industrialists, businessmen, or individuals can apply to become TIP/BSNL partners.

Telecom Infra to be fortified

As a step towards enhancing telecommunication services in Goa, BSNL Goa has announced the establishment of robust protection paths for tele traffic.

BSNL is investing heavily in new batteries, power plants, CUPS BNGs, MAAN equipment, super edge & core routers etc. This initiative aims to provide uninterrupted and reliable connectivity to the residents and businesses of Goa.

Breathing new life into old houses of Goa

The newly established protection paths are designed to fortify the existing telecommunication infrastructure, ensuring a seamless flow of tele traffic even in challenging circumstances.

These paths are strategically being implemented to safeguard against potential disruptions caused by natural calamities, technical glitches, or any unforeseen events.

Additionally, all-new KRCL dark fibers shall be made available from Mumbai to Goa in a few months, addressing latency issues mainly due to LD OFC cable cuts beyond the geographical area of Goa. Another 10G link has also been put in place through a spatially different topology.
