
Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar holds door-to-door campaign at Mormugao

Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar on Friday conducted door-to-door campaigning at Baina in Mormugao, urging people to bring back Congress to power.
He was accompanied by GPCC Vice-president and Congress candidate for Mormugao, Sankalp Amonkar along with Congress supporters.
"BJP leaders are indulged in corruption. People of Goa will show them the right place in the coming assembly elections".
He said the main objective of Congress workers was to throw the BJP government out of power that has demolished the houses of people and made them homeless.
Shivakumar expressed confidence that Congress is getting a very good response in Mormugao and will form the next government in the state.
Amonkar claimed the BJP government has done injustice to people and rendered them homeless in Baina. "The BJP government has always done injustice to the people of Baina area and the poor people here were made homeless by the corrupt BJP government," he said.
He stated many homeless people in Baina have not been rehabilitated by the state government.
"Congress will take initiative to give justice to the people," he added.
Karnataka Zilla Panchayat member Neelamma Metti said, "The BJP government has plunged the entire country into the abyss of inflation. The defeat of BJP in Goa is certain".
Mormugao corporator Yogita Parsekar, former mayor Nitin Chopdekar, Samir Khan, Sachin Bhagat, Seby Fernandes, former corporator Saby D'Souza and other leaders were present during the campaigning.
