Goa Foward announces first two candidates for Goa polls

Goa Forward Party (GFP), who is in a pre-poll alliance with Congress, has announced its first two candidates for the 2022 Goa Assembly election on Monday, January 10.

Mohandas Lolienkar, General Secretary of the party, releases the first list of the names of GFP candidates on Twitter

The Party president and incumbent MLA in Fatorda constituency Vijai Sardesai will contest again from Fatorda while Santosh Kumar Sawant has been named the candidate for the Mayem constituency.

However, Goa Forward Party is also eyeing to get three more seats - Canacona, St. Andre and Mandrem - from Congress.

On Sunday, GFP's probable candidate from Mandrem, Deepak Kalangutkar, inaugurated party office in Mandrem in the presence of senior citizen and former sarpanch Ganpat Kalangutkar
