Former Ports Minister Michael Lobo, who quit the ruling BJP on Monday, said that he has been in talks with various political parties and will the take decision at the right time.

Speaking to mediaperson at his residence on Tuesday,Michael Lobo said, "I and my wife Delilah Lobo have not decided to join any party till now. We will join the party at the right time".

Science and Technology Minister Michael Lobo tendered his resignation as a minister in Chief Minister Pramod Sawant-led BJP government as well as Calangute MLA on Monday, Janaury 10.

Taking a dig into BJP, Lobo said, "BJP has played with the sentiments of the common people of the state on many issues, not only that, but also deliberately tried to disregard the principles of late Manohar bhai Parrikar".

He further said that quitting BJP was a "wise and thoughtful decision."

Countering BJP state president Sadanand Shet Tanawade's charge that Lobo exit was not a setback, he advised Tanawade to focus on those who are leaving the party day by day instead of accusing him and to test his ability to get elected as an MLA in the forthcoming Assembly elections.

Michael further attacked Dayanand Mandrekar and said, 'If the garbage had not been picked up by the management, the worms in the garbage would have swarmed in front of Mandrekar's house by now. We have taken the initiative to clean Siolim's dirt'.
