Fatorda BJP Block president Manohar Borkar on Thursday claimed that BJP Fatorda candidate Damu Naik is all set to get 12,000 votes in the elections.
"Considering the trends of voters in Fatorda. BJP is expected to get 12,300 votes. This time the lotus will bloom in Fatorda," he said.
In the 2017 Assembly Elections, Goa Forward's Vijay Sardesaina got 10,516 votes while Damu Naik polled in 9,182 votes. Borkar said BJP has filled the gap of 1334 votes in this elections.
Explainning the ratinale behind his statement, Borkar said there are BJP-appointed corportors in the 5, 6, 7 and 8 wards. Shweta Lotlikar also declared her support to BJP few days before election that has helped BJP's campaign. which will ensure BJP will get more votes. BJP would also lead in wards 4, 9 and 11,"
