Aldona MLA Glen Ticlo's brother and former Congress general secretary Wilbur Ticlo on Thursday, November 19, joined Trinamool Congress (TMC) in the presence of the former chief minister and Navelim MLA Luizinho Faleiro.
Wilbur joined the West Bengal-based party after reports of Porvorim independent MLA Rohan Khaunte cosying up with Congress for the Goa elections next year. Wilbur is eyeing to contest from the Porvorim constituency.
Criticising the Congress for accommodating 'traitors', Wilbur hit out at BJP and Congress in the state and said that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is the best hope for Goa.
When asked if he will contest against his brother, he said “Don’t ask me anything about him (Glen), I have not joined to contest against him, I have joined to work for the people. He is my brother but there is nothing wrong if I join politics”.
