N Goa police find 2 dead bodies; one badly decomposed

Police in North Goa reported that two bodies were found, one on Monday and the other on Tuesday.

Whilst the body found in Panjim has been identified, the one found in Anjuna is yet to be as it was badly decomposed.

The body identified in Altinho was is that of 31-year-old Nanda Khadka, who was employed in a restaurant at Altinho. He was found dead in a toilet in Altinho on Monday.

When contacted Panjim police inspector Nikhil Palyekar informed that a missing report was filed at the Panjim police station by the brother of the deceased on August 30.

On Monday, police found Nanda’s dead body hanging in a toilet at Altinho.“ The deceased was of unsound mind,” stated PI Palyekar when asked about the reason behind the alleged suicide.

According to the police investigation, no foul play is suspected.

Meanwhile, another shocking incident surfaced in Anjuna when an unidentified fully-decomposed body was found at St Micheal Wado, Anjuna, near Curlies on Tuesday.

As per the information provided by PI Anjuna Prashal Dessai, the unidentified body was found lying on a bed inside an unused house by the owner, Alex Rodrigues, on Tuesday morning

PI Dessai further said that the police are yet to ascertain whether it was a male or female dead body due to the degree of decomposition. The house where the body was found has been closed for several days.

Anjuna police got a call from the house owner on Tuesday morning at around 10 am.

The body has been preserved at GMC and the post-mortem will be performed on Wednesday” informed the PI.
