Once again, a cleanliness drive was carried out in the Mapusa market area today by Jeevan Anand Sanstha. About twelve members of the ashram worked at Peddem-Mapusa to clean the roads and help the homeless in this area.
The clean-up operation was carried out from 7.30 am to 10.30 am. Mayor Shubhangi Waingankar also helped the Jeevan Anand Sanstha members with their campaign, said Sandeep Parab, the founding president of the organization.
Apart from Sandeep Parab, the campaign was attended by other dignitaries. Shripad Sawant, president of Mapusa Traders Association, Sandesh Burye, and teacher Poonam Burye were present to provide guidance for the campaign.
Jeevan Anand Sanstha activists Prasad Angane, Naresh Angane, Rahul Kamble, Sunil Parab, Sushil, Anand Kale, Sachin Pujare, Pallavi Parab, Shweta Pujare and others also contributed for the success of this campaign. The collected waste was taken to the waste processing plant at Kucheli in collaboration with Mapusa Municipality.
