Water pipeline burst at Siolim leading to road damage and waster wastage

A major water pipeline near the Public Health Center burst at Siolim and uprooted the roads on Wednesday.
A sudden explosion took place in the afternoon in front of a health center, knocking down two-wheeler parked on the side of the main road.
A lot of water flowed on the road leading to wastage and affected the traffic movement in the area. No casualties were reported.
"For a long time after the incident, not a single employee of the panchayat or public department appeared at the spot. A labourer reached the spot and put a red band all around," locals said.
Meanwhile, a major aqueduct for the Tilari project was completed in the area a year ago, so many speculated that the blast may have been caused due to a technical glitch in the underwater or a pressure problem.
