The Goa Badminton Association, in collaboration with the Fonda Shuttlers and the Goa Sports Authority, conducted guidance camps for RCC badminton trainees at Navelim and Ponda on Tuesday
Over 50 players from the age group of 8 to 14 years attended the event. Sharmad Mahajan along with Dhananjay Sirsat and Anup Kushwaha guided the novices in the camp.
There are many quality badminton players in Goa. Efforts will be made to hold more such camps, said Guru Khandeparkar, a member of Ponda Shuttlers and camp coordinator.
Union Secretary Sandeep Heble lauded the Ponda Shuttlers. Heble also talked about how this initiative will also include other clubs from the state in the future.
