Sesa Football Academy scored five goals and registered a resounding victory against YC Manora in the Goa Pro League at Dhuler Stadium in Mapusa on Sunday. Sesa Academy won the match 5-3 and are now placed fourth on the league table.
This was Sesa FA’s first victory after two draws in a row and now have five points. Whereas Manora suffered their second consecutive defeat of the tournament and are placed eighth in the league.
Omkar scored the first goal for Sesa Academy in the 10th minute. Then in the 22nd minute, Rizwan extended their lead thanks to Vishnu Gosavi’s assist. Myron Pereira then scored in the 30th-minute giving Sesa FA a three-goal lead. After Aman Rajbhar scored in the 36th minute, Rizwan scored another goal to give Sesa Academy a 5-0 lead.
In the second half, Rajinder made a brilliant header on the Aniston Fernandes’ assist for YC Manora. Soon after, Alden Culasso scored the second goal and Jovin Carnero reduced scored the third and the match ended at 3-5.
The match will be played between Guardian Angel Sports Club and Calangute Association at Dhuler Stadium in Mapusa on Monday.
