Goa’s Natasha secured the third position, Harichandra Shambu Velip finished eighth and Zaid Arshad Baig finished twelfth in the recently concluded Triathlon Nationals held at Udaipur on September 10, 2022.
Natasha participated in the Sprint Distance Triathlon consisting of a 750-metre swim in the Fateh Sagar Lake, a 20-km bike ride and a 5-km run. She finished in a time of 1 hour 25 minutes in her category.
Zaid Arshad Baig, who was initially in a good position, suffered a puncture and hence lost time but still managed to finish 12th in his category. Ruhi Harish Peshwe made her debut in triathlons at Udaipur and put up a promising performance
Fellow teammate Harichandra Shambu Velip secured the eight position in the 18 to 35 men’s sprint – distance category, while Zaid Arshad Baig, who was initially in a good position, suffered a puncture and hence lost time but managed to finish 12th in his category.
Ruhi Harish Peshwe made her debut in triathlons at Udaipur and put up a promising performance.
The team is currently coached by Goa Triathlon Association coaches Indrajeet Khadilkar and Agnelo Desa.
