Hosts Panaji Gymkhana beat Iqbal XI by 46 runs in the finals of the Bandodkar Trophy. Panaji Gymkhana's Suraj Dongre won the player of the match award in the finals at Bhausaheb Bandodkar ground in Campal.
Panaji Gymkhana won the toss and elected to bat first. Suraj Dongre was the pick of the batters as he scored 39 runs while Aniket Desai scored 37 runs. Swapnil Malik (27) and Robin D'Souza (28) remained unbeaten to propel the Panaji total to 171 in 20 overs. Tushar Sawant, Mukhtar Qadri and Basuraj Madar took two wickets each for Iqbal XI.
In the second innings, Panaji Gymkhana continued to dominate as they bundled out Iqbal XI for 125 runs. Mahesh Bhaidkar and Sanjay Naik, who took three wickets each. For Iqbal XI, Maruti Huggi and Sarfraz Nawaz were the pick of the batters as they each scored 20 runs.
Prize distribution was held in the presence of Giriraj Vengurlekar, President of Panaji Gymkhana Manoj Kakule, Treasurer Suresh Karapurkar, Member Prashant Kakode. The winning team received Rs. 50,000 and trophy, while the runner-up team was awarded Rs. 25,000 and trophy. Amey Dhamsekar won the Best Batter award, Sahadev Khandolkar was given the Best Bowler award. Avinash Gavas won the Player of the Tournament.
