Panjim Gymkhana's oldest cricket competition to start on November 18

Panjim Gymkhana's Bandodkar Trophy Cricket Tournament will be played at Bhausaheb Bandodkar Ground in Campal from Thursday, November 18.

The tournament features 24 teams from across the state. Like last year, the tournament will be played in T20 format.

The winning team will be given a cash prize worth Rs 50,000 and a trophy. Whereas, the runners-up team will receive a cash prize of Rs 25,000 and a trophy. The player of the tournament, best batter and bowler individual will all receive cash prizes of Rs. 5,000 each.

Bandora, Paramount, Shuttlers, Pedne, Mahalakshmi Club, Bicholim, Al-Fatah, Super, Union Sports Walpai, Young Stars, Goa Sports Academy, Panjim Gymkhana A, Maratha Warriors, Leo, Stamina, Iqbal XI, Panjim Gymkhana B, Candolim Association, Pole, Rudreshwar Youth Association, S. K. Jogging, Sunny Club.

Preference to local cricketers

Players of the Goa Premier League cannot take part in the tournament. Only players born in Goa can play in the competition. Whereas players from other states, living in Goa for education or employment, must submit proof of their two years' residence in the state.

The organizers also announced that players part of the Goa Ranji Trophy, under-25 and under-19 teams, cannot participate in the competition.
