The Women's Senior One Day Trophy for the Goa team has ended as they lost Punjab in the semi-finals by 17 runs.

The rain-affected match was decided by the VJD method.

After losing the toss, the Goan team had a tough start to their innings as they lost their first four wickets in just six overs. Komalpreet Kour took out Goan opener Shrey and number four batter Sunanda. Captain Shikha Pandey and Sanjula Sudhakar Naik stitched up a 69-run partnership to stabilize the innings after the early collapse.

Then, at the score of 98, Kanika Ahuja ran out Sanjula Sudhakar Naik. She scored a gritty of 40 runs with six boundaries. Shikha Pandey continued batting with wicketkeeper Vinavi Gurav to score a 46-run partnership.

Soon Pandey was dismissed at 144 after she scored a valiant 49-run knock with four boundaries. Vinavi Gurav and Poorva Bhaidkar continued to bat and took the score to 167. Then Gurav was stumped out for 35, triggering another collapse as the three remaining batters just scored one combined run to end the innings at 179. Bhaidkar was not out at 22.

In the second innings, Punjab had a similar start as they lost their first wicket in the fourth over. Opener Ridhima Aggarwal and Parveen Khan took the innings ahead and scored a 46-run partnership when Aggarwal was dismissed at 38. Captain Taniya Bhatia came to bat but failed to make an impact as she was dismissed at the score of nine.

However, the Punjab batters continued the chase, but in the 41st over, rain interrupted the match. Punjab was at 142 for 3 in 41.2 overs when the game was stopped. Umpires decided to use the VJD method to conclude the match, where Punjab was ahead by 17 runs and was declared winners.
