Goa's Maria Rebello has been appointed as the Referee by the Asian Football Confederation.
She will officiate in the Women's Asian Qualifiers in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The Goa Football Association has congratulated Maria on her appointment.
Maria Rebello has led the Indian team in the past. She is also the AFC Referee Assessor and the Football Federation's Referee Guide.
Rebello has previously played various roles in the Asian Games as a player, referee and assessor instructor.
She is the only Indian referee to be appointed to the tournament. In the past, s he has also officiated in the I-League.
