Pune: Yuv Vohra claimed two gold medals in the Under-10 category during the Maharashtra State Sub-Junior Athletics Meet being held at the Baburao Sanas Ground on Sunday. Yuv had a good day as he first won a gold medal in the 80 metre race completing it in 11.1 seconds and then in the 200 metre race, clocking in 28.8 seconds. In the 80 metres race, Ayan Kar (11.3 seconds) and Jaideep Jadhav (11.7 seconds) won silver and bronze medal while Soham Minde (29.8 seconds) and Yash Patil (30.4 seconds) settled for silver and bronze medals respectively in the 200 metre race. Gode Gupta from the Under-8 category also won two gold medals. In the 80 metre event, Gode left behind, Swaraj Gonkar and Akhilesh Lolage respectively to clinch the gold medal. In the 100 metre race, Gode raced ahead of all to complete the race in 15.5 seconds to lay his hands on the yellow metal. Darshan Thackeray settled for silver with 15.9 seconds and Swaraj Gonkar settled for the bronze clocking 16.9 seconds.
