Panaji: The Gadre Gaspar Dias Open tennis tournament begins today (January 24) at the Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias, Miramar. The clube received over 250 entries from across 8 categories. The tournament organized by Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias, in partnership with Goa State Tennis Association (GSTA) and Gadre Premium Seafood received an increase in entries as compared to the previous edition. The nine-day tournament includes eight categories, i.e. Under 12 (Girls and Boys), Under 16 (Girls and Boys), Men’s Singles, Ladies Singles, Men’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Veteran Singles and Veteran Doubles. Prizes collectively amounting to Rs 88,000 will be awarded to winners in the various categories. Matches are scheduled from 7 am to 10 am in the morning and from 4 pm to 10 pm in the evening.
