When in Goa, work doesn’t feel like a duty, and the vibe will make you want to take a break and chill before you head back to where you have come from. And, this is exactly what hip-hop artiste Karma was doing after his gig at one of the biggest music festivals in Goa.
In a chat with Gomantak Times Digital, Karma expressed his love for Goa, and spoke about performing at the music gig for the first time.
RELISHING PRAWNS AND MUSIC
For starters, he has travelled around Goa quite a bit and sampled the local cuisine.
“I explored much during my 20 days in Goa, especially the south side of the State on a rent-a bike or rental car,” said Karma, who loves to sit on the beach with his headphones on, and munching on prawns and pomfret fry.
"Every part of it resonates with me — the culture, the food, and how they’ve blended old-school living with modern trends that keep evolving every year,” he added.
“This is my ideal day in Goa. That’s it! It’s the perfect environment for me to write music and always elevate my art,” he said, after performing at Sunburn for the first time.

FAVOURITE VIBE
Karma believes that Sunburn is not just an event — it’s the cornerstone of the music business in India, and said that he loved every moment of it.
Though India is witnessing a great electronic music scene, festivals like Sunburn raise the standard with their line-ups, production and passionate fan base, believes Karma.
The vibe at the festival was very energetic and this made him feel on top of the world.
“I absolutely loved the energy, and a big thank you to my bro, KSHMR, for bringing me out. As a hip-hop artist, I’m used to performing for audiences familiar with my genre, but this was my first-ever electronic music festival," he shared.
"The energy was electric, the crowd was phenomenal, and the production was next level. Being there made me realise why people eagerly wait for festivals like Sunburn,” he added.
KARMA'S RECOMMENDATIONS
Goa has cafés and restaurants known for their food and relaxing vibes. After exploring some of these on his travels, Karma said that he loved the Arjuna Cafe, in Anjuna, the most.
“Arjuna Cafe stole my heart with their amazing croissants. I also visited South Goa’s Southern Deck, in Benaulim, which had an incredible vibe and delicious food," he mentioned.
"This time, I also got to visit a local shack in Cabo de Rama, where I got to taste some of the best prawns ever! And, not forgetting my all-time favourite Jamun in Assagao. I’m truly amazed! That place is my new favourite for its incredible flavours and ambience,” he concluded.
